What is SelectorSnap

SelectorSnap is a Chrome extension that lets you pick a CSS selector on any webpage and extract matching content from that page or a list of pages on the same domain. It is built for SEO professionals, developers, QA teams, and anyone who needs to collect content from websites without writing code.

Data we collect

We collect nothing. SelectorSnap does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any user data.

The only data the extension stores is:

• The CSS selector you lock
• The domain that selector is locked to
• Temporary bulk run results while a run is in progress

All of this is saved to chrome.storage.local on your own device. It never leaves your browser. It is not sent to any server, including ours.

Permissions used and why

• activeTab — to inject the element picker into the page you are currently viewing when you activate it
• storage — to save your locked selector locally so it persists across tabs and sessions
• tabs — to open pages one at a time during a bulk run and close them after extraction
• scripting — to inject the content script into bulk-run tabs so content can be extracted
• host permissions — to run the content script on pages you visit, so the locked selector can find content automatically

None of these permissions are used to track you, monitor your browsing, or collect any information.

Third parties

SelectorSnap does not use any third-party analytics, tracking scripts, advertising networks, or external APIs. No data is sent to any third party under any circumstance.

Remote code

SelectorSnap does not execute remote code. All scripts run from files bundled inside the extension itself.

Children

SelectorSnap does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. Since we collect no data at all, this is not a concern in practice.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Since we do not have your contact information, we cannot notify you directly. We recommend checking this page if you have questions.
